This question is on the minds of many people during this wonderful time of year. I would like to express my experience from this weekend.
This past weekend on Saturday I went on a pic nick with my roommates Alex and Audri and our friend Darcie. We went to Subway and got some sandwiches then took Alex's truck up to the mountains. We found a pretty little trail that led to a beautiful spot next to a waterfall. The beauty over came me as I admired the wilderness around me. After eating half of my sandwich and taking a few pictures I decided to jump across the stream and go on an exploration. As I traveled across the terrain and admired the leaves, trees, and river an overwhelming peace came over me. The hymn "How Great Thou Art" filled my mind. As I hummed the words I could not help feeling the love that Heavenly father and Jesus Christ have for me. I sat down on a log and looked up at the clear blue sky and pondered for a few minuets.
Being in nature made me really think about why we celebrate this season. Its not the decorations, presents, or even Santa, its to remember Christ in our lives and to see his hand in all things. To give service to others and share kind words. Let his spirit warm your heart and open your eyes to the miracles around you, then you can know the true meaning of Christmas.
From My Heart To Yours,
MERRY CHRISTMAS
